Stencil Process+ Final Painting

Medical Attention Required on Venice Beach is definitely one of my most popular paintings!

I thought I would post an image of the stencil before I painted it so you can see a bit of my process.

I always hand cut all my stencils, and I use just regular printer paper so I am lucky if they survive more than one use. I quite like this because it means they are all originals. I could use a more permanent media but that idea has never really appealed to me.

The stencil is laid out on an already painted background. Sprayed. Lifted off. Then I also usually do a little bit of extra work after it has been sprayed, until it seems finished to me. 🙂

As always if you have any questions hit me up on Facebook, I would be more than happy to answer them!
